Whole person development of all has always been a goal at Po Kok. Apart from the well-designed academic programmes, we encourage and treasure students’ participation in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, which enhance students’ moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic development. Participating in extra-curricula activities can also nurture desirable values in students, help them to acquire new skills and learn to be a better person as a whole.
Apart from in-school activities, we also encourage students’ participation in a variety of inter-school competitions such as The Hong Kong School Speech Festival, Music Festival, Inter-school Athletics Competition, sports activities and academic activities, which we believe will help build up their competitiveness, confidence as well as their comradeship.
A wide range of extra-curricular activities is offered in our school, which are guided by our teachers and professional coaches recruited from various organizations. These include uniform groups (Boy Scouts and Brownies), sports teams (Football, Field Hockey, Kung Fu, Dodgebee, Rugby, Taspony), performing art (Indian Dance, Chinese Drum, Chinese Drama, Musical English Opera and Choir) and community service groups (The Community Youth Club and Junior Police Call).
